Mrs. Sharon Diane Brown-Melton of Indian Land, SC, passed away on Saturday, May 11, 2013. A native of Winston-Salem, Mrs. Brown-Melton was born February 4, 1954, to the late Charlie Mae Hammonds and James Freeman Brown.

She was predeceased by her parents and sister, Jeanetta Rice of W-S, NC.

She leaves to cherish her memory her husband, Melvin O. Melton of the home; her daughter, Shakima (Michael) Ross; grandsons, Brion Brown and Tari Brown all of W-S, NC; other loving realtives include her sister, Toni Brown; brothers, Preston Brown of Tacoma, WA and Michael Brown; niece, Ginger Hamlin of W-S, NC; nephew, Derrick Hamlin of High Point, NC; great-nieces, Charisse Hamlin of Fayetteville, NC, Cierra Roberts, Dominique Hamlin, and Quaniesha Hillian all of W-S, NC.

Funeral services will be held at 1pm Monday, May 20, 2013 at Union Baptist Church. Entombment will follow in Piedmont Memorial Gardens. The family visitation will be held from 12noon until 1pm on Friday at the Church.
