Sharon D. King was born to Haskel Thompson and Stella L. King on December 9, 1971. Early Thursday morning, May 1, 2008, God called her home. Sharon was a native of Forsyth County. She was of the Baptist faith.

Sharon was a graduate of East Forsyth High School in 1990. Ms. King is preceded in death by her brother, Kenneth King and grandparents, Margaret and Willie Miller.

Ms. King is survived by her parents Haskel Thompson and Stella King of Winston-Salem; a brother, Marvin R. King (Angelia); two children; Dominque and Brittany King of Winston-Salem; a devoted friend, Ron Green; a devoted cousin Elizabeth Miller, and host of aunts, uncles, nephews, relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be conducted at 12:00 Noon on Tuesday, May 6, 2008 at Russell Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Charlie Clemons officiating. Internment will follow in Evergreen Cemetery. Family visitation will held from 11:30 am to Noon at the Chapel. The family will assemble at the home of Mrs. Stella King at 1741 Waughtown Street.
