Ms. Shanita Renee' Gray, affectionately known as "Nitagirl" departed this life on Monday, July 9, 2007. She was born on September 13, 1977. Shanita graduated from Glenn High School in 1995 and was a dedicated worker for Medcost for 5 ½ years.

She leaves to cherish her memories her mother, Veronica (Johnny) Gattison; her biological father, Michael Cannon; devoted grandmothers, Iris Barr and Bernice Cannon; four brothers, Anthony Gray of Greenville, NC, Jaron Bailey, Matthew Gattison and Johnny Fields; a devoted niece, Kiana Spruill; devoted cousins, Brittany, Michael, and D'Angelo Gray; and a host of other relatives and many friends.

Funeral services will be held at 1pm Saturday, July 14, 2007 from the Russell Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Dr. Johnny York officiating. Interment will follow in Evergreen Cemetery. The family visitation will be held from 12 noon until 1pm on Saturday at the Chapel.
