Obituary

Mathew 19:14 reads, Jesus said suffer little children and forbid them not, to come unto me: for such is the kingdom of heaven.
It was Sunday, January 28, 2007 early in the evening when the Angel of Life was dispatched to the Forsyth Medical Center with heavens roll book and softly whispered Mr. Sean Quincey Stoddard. He was then summoned to be with the Lord as his loving family witnessed his Homegoing.
Sean was born on December 6, 1987 to Talvin D. Jones and Ms. Sabrina Q. Stoddard in Winston-Salem , NC . He was a 2006 graduate of Carter Vocational High School and was employed at Wal-Mart Super Center of Winston-Salem.
Sean accepted Christ as his Savior at a very young age and was a faithful member of Mt. Olive Baptist Church where he was dedicated to Sunday school, Bible Study, and was the drummer for the Youth Choir.
Sean was a loving and giving person whose smile would light up a room. He met no strangers and was loved by many.
He was preceded in death by his father, Mr. Talvin D. Jones and his grandfather, Mr. George E. Stoddard.
He leaves not to mourn but to cherish his memories his loving mother, Ms. Sabrina Q. Stoddard of the home; a devoted sister, Ms. T'Shrra T. Stoodard of the home; a half sister, Ms. Quasheda D. Jones of Winston-Salem, NC; his loving and devoted maternal grandparents, Mrs. Clemetine G. (Eugene) Barr of the city; his paternal great-grandmother, Mrs. Dollie Stoddard of the city; two devoted aunts, Ms. Shavonne Q. Stoddard and Mrs. Shatea' S. (Tiffany) McBride both of the city; two uncles, Mr. Armin (Marjorie) Jones of Charlotte, NC and Mr. Jmeil Hairston of the city; as well as a host of uncles, aunts, cousins, friends, and admirers.
Funeral services will be conducted on Saturday, February 3, 2007 at 1:00 pm from the Mount Olive Baptist Church with Dr. Charles E. Gray officiating. Interment will follow in Evergreen Cemetery . The family visitation will be held from 12 noon until 1:00 pm on Saturday at the Church. The funeral cortege will assemble and leave from the home of his grandparents, Mr. & Mrs. Eugene Barr, 1820 Olivers Crossing Circle at 11:30 am en route to the Church.
