Scarlet Blair Scales, affectionally known as "Scot", gracefully entered the gates of Heaven on Wednesday, April 24, 2019.  She was born in Galax, VA on November 15, 1945 to the late Paul and Eva Kyle Blair.

In addition to joining her parents in Heaven, she joined her sister, Alice Blair Stockton; and sister-in-law, Beetie Scales Palmer.

Those remaining to cherish her memory: her husband, Leon R. Scales; her beloved daughter and granddaughter, Crystal Scales Rogers and Kayla Scales-Mckoy of Durham, NC; one brother, W. Paul Blair of Raleigh, NC; two nieces, her loving and devoted niece, Terri Stockton Foulks (Branson) of Summerfield, NC, and Cherri Stockton Parker of Asheboro, NC.  Scarlet "loved" her way through life and leaves a vast number of dear friends who adored her and will miss her loving presence.

The Homegoing Celebration will be held at 1:00pm Monday, April 29, 2019 at Piney Grove Baptist Church, 4715 Indiana Avenue, with Rev. Dr. James Linville officiating. Interment will follow in Gardens of Memory Walkertown, NC. The family visitation will be held from 12:00noon until 1:00pm on Monday at the Church.
