Revelation 21:4 "And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away."

Mrs. Sarah Frances Glenn "Sweet Pea" Thomas a loving mother, sister, friend and missionary. She joined her heavenly father on December 23, 2019 after an extended period of illness battling cancer.

She was preceded in death in by her daughter, Lavonda Olympic Thomas; her loving and devoted husband of 48 years, Mr. Alphonza Leonard Thomas, Sr.; her sister, Mrs. Virginia Friday; and her son, Mr. Alphonza Leonard Thomas, II.

She leaves to cherish her memories one sibling, Mr. Andre L. Little of Atlanta, GA; a devoted daughter and caregiver, Vanda Thomas of Winston-Salem, her first-born, Vicki Thomas-Moore; three grandchildren, Alphonza Thomas, III, Semaj Moore, Vane'sa Stewart; one great-grandchild, Semara Thompson; and a host of other relatives and friends.

"Do not weep over me, I just changed my residence, I'm in my resting place in the presence of the Lord in my magnificent glorified body."

Sarah was a graduate of Carver High School in Winston Salem, NC. She also attended Winston Salem State University (Teacher's College) majoring in Education. Sarah traveled the world spreading the word of God as a missionary when her late husband, Alphonza Thomas was in the Air Force. Sarah loved Piney Grove Baptist Church!! She rarely missed a Sunday service. Sarah also enjoyed her best buddy. Mrs. Lorraine Gentry who faithfully picked Sarah up for church and Wednesday Senior's meeting.

Funeral services will be held at 12noon Saturday, December 28, 2019 at Piney Grove Baptist Church.  Interment will follow in Evergreen Cemetery.  The family visitation will be held from 11:00am until 12noon on Saturday at the Church.
