Sara H. Daviage, 62, passed away peacefully on Sunday, January 16, 2011 at Howard University Hospital after a courageous battle with cancer. She was born on September 23, 1948 to Johnnie Hunter and Katherine Hunter.
She was preceded in death by her father and two sisters.
Sara will be forever remembered by her loving mother, Katherine Hunter; devoted son, Everett Daviage, Jr.; daughter in-law, Jordan Daviage; her treasured granddaughters, Constance Daviage and Morgan Fletcher; nieces, Sharon Easterling and Traci Griffith; nephew, Sheridan Easterling; brother in-law, Dr. Sheridan Easterling; along with countless other friends and family whom were blessed to know her.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00pm Thursday, January 20, 2011 at Hanes Memorial C.M.E. Church. Interment will follow in Evergreen Cemetery. The family visitation will be held from 12:30pm until 1:00pm on Thursday at the church.
In lieu of flowers the family requests that donations be made to the Constance Hunter Scholarship Fund, c/o Hanes Memorial C.M.E. Church.
