God looked around His garden and found an empty space. He then looked down upon the earth and saw her gentle face. He put His arms around her and lifted her to rest; God's garden must be beautiful now, for He only takes the best.
Mother Sarah Odell Crockett, daughter of the late Mr. Wheeler Wilson and Daisy Mitchell Odell was born June 16, 1925 in Stokes County. She attended the Winston-Salem public schools. She was an active member of Dreamland Park Missionary Baptist Church until her health declined. She served on the Senior Usher Board and the Pastor's Aide Committee.
Mother Crockett went home to be with her Father on Friday, March 25, 2011.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Mr. Charlie Crockett, Sr.; and her son, Mr. Charlie Crockett, Jr.
She leaves to cherish her precious memories, her children, KenDre Crockett of the home, Patricia Cain, Pamela (Wilson) Weaver, Kelly Crockett, and Leslie Wallace of the city, Calvin Foxworth and Lizzie Jones of Virginia; grandchildren, LaMont, Patrick, and Ricky Cain, Tamela Crockett, Christopher Bowman, and Tangela and Erik Wallace; her sister, Anna Fulp; sister-in-law, Bertha Crockett; and a host of great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and friends.

Funeral services will be held at 12noon Wednesday, March 30, 2011 at Dreamland Park Missionary Baptist Church with Pastor Ronald C. Fisher, Sr. officiating. Interment will follow in Evergreen Cemetery. The family visitation will be held from 11:00am until 12noon on Wednesday at the Church.
The family will assemble and leave from the home of her daughter, 3871 Cottington Dr.
In lieu of flowers the family requests that donations be made to Hospice & Palliative Care and a special thank you to the staff of Hospice & Palliative Care and Dr. Jerry Hopping.
