Mrs. Sarah Bailey Brown, 74 of 124 Styers Road was called home on Saturday, January 1, 2011 at the Kate B. Reynolds Hospice Home and Palliative Care Center. She was born November 22, 1936 in Forsyth County. Sarah was a lifelong member of St. John CME Church.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Mrs. Louise B. Harding; and a daughter, Mary Brown.
She is survived by her husband, A.J. Brown "Drukie"-owner of Brown's Fish and Produce Market; four daughters, Cynthia Clark, Angela Brown, Tonja McDowell all of Winston-Salem, NC and Cassandra Floyd of Virginia; seven grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; two sons-in-law; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be held at 1pm Thursday, January 6, 2011 at St. John CME Church, 650 NW Crawford Place with Reverend Bobby R. Best officiating. Interment will follow in Evergreen Cemetery. The family visitation will be held from12noon until 1pm on Thursday at the Church.
