On Thursday, October 31, 2013, God in His infinite wisdom chose to call home to eternal rest our beloved mother, sister, and aunt, Sarah Lee Barnes. Born on November 19, 1944 in North Wilkesboro, NC, she was the daughter of the late Grover Cleveland Barnes and Mable Howell Barnes. She devoted 23 years as a bus driver for the W-S/Forsyth County School System.

She leaves a legacy of cherished memories one son, Bobby Jones of the residence; two aunts, Pearl Lee Howell Eller and Sadie Roberta Howell of North Wilkesboro, NC; one brother, Robert E. Eller of W-S, NC; one sister, Gwendolyn Howell Zuniga of North Wilkesboro, NC; three devoted friends, Evette Blakely, Priscilla Stevens, and Sherron Richardson all of W-S, NC; and a host of other relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be held at 12noon Thursday, November 7, 2013 at the Russell Funeral Home Chapel. The family visitation will be held from 11am until 12noon on Thursday at the Church.
