Obituary
Mrs. Sara Lee Sherrill, 65, passed away Tuesday morning, September 5, 2007 at her home following an extended illness.
She was born August 10, 1942 to John Dunbar and Ruth Cleo E. Dunbar. She attended the public schools of Sanford, NC and had a passion for life. Mrs. Sherrill loved to cook, take long rides with her friend, and most all she loved the Lord with all her heart and soul. She truly did believe she was going nowhere until the God was ready for her.
Sara later on married Willie Sherrill where they had three children.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and her husband.
Left to cherish her memories are her children, Ruth Burgess of Fayetteville, NC, Michael (Sybil) Dunbar of Lake City, SC, and James Sherrill of Winston-Salem, NC; a host of wonderful grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends that she really did adore. Mrs. Sherrill will be greatly missed by everyone that knew and loved her.
Funeral services will be held at 1pm Saturday, September 8, 2007 from the Russell Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Fulton Smith officiating. The family visitation will be held from 12:30pm until 1pm on Saturday at the Chapel.
