Sandra Maurice McGill was born December 29, 1959 to Mr. Daniel Cureton McGill and Mrs. Viola Black McGill.
Sister McGill was a life-long resident of Winston-Salem, NC. She graduated from R.J. Reynolds High School and was a long-time member, in good standing, of Hope of Glory Fellowship Church. She worked as a CNA at Winston-Salem Convalescent Home and the Industries for the Blind.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and her sister, Ms. Patricia McGill.
Sister McGill is survived by two children, Megan and Brandon McGill both of Winston-Salem, NC; two grandchildren, John and Mariah Coles of Winston-Salem, NC; four sisters and one brother, Sadie (Kadell) Ervin of Cleveland, OH, Claudette (Joe) Keaton, Brenda (Robert) Marshall, Daniel (Hazel) McGill, Jr., and Domenica McGill all of Winston-Salem, NC; as well as a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be held at 1pm Thursday, June 26, 2008 from the Home of Glory Fellowship Church with Pastor Helen Glenn officiating. Interment will follow in Evergreen Cemetery. The family visitation will be held from Noon until 1pm on Thursday at the Church. The family will assemble and leave from the home of her sister, Domenica McGill at 1405 Harrison Avenue, Winston-Salem, NC.
Sister McGill was additionally blessed by the loving attention and prayers of Pastor Helen S. Glenn and the Hope of Glory Fellowship Church Family. The family would like to acknowledge the staff at Winston-Salem Rehabilitation Center and the Wake Forest University/ Baptist Medical Center for all their kindness and support.
