Mrs. Sandra Henderson Lomax, 70, passed away peacefully surrounded by loved ones on Saturday, July 7, 2018.  She was born May 24, 1948 in Winston-Salem to the late Nora D. Henderson.

Sandra was a lifelong, active member of St. James AME Church. She was a 1966 graduate of Anderson High School.  Upon graduation, she matriculated to Russell's Business College where she received training in Accounting and spent her professional career working for Davis Management, under the tutelage of Richard Davis, CPA.

In addition to her mother, she was also preceded in death by two brothers, Wesley and Howard Henderson.

She is survived by her loving husband, James Lomax, Jr.; children, Jerado (Charlena) Lomax, Kim Lloyd, Beleita Taylor, and Brian (Veta) Henderson; Goddaughter, Raneesha Ford; grandchildren, Karif Taylor, Jerad Lomax, Antonio Lloyd, Cameron Lomax, Kelsey Warren, Chiele Henderson, and Meden Ford; brother, Harry (Carolyn) Henderson; and a host of other relatives and friends.

Services celebrating her life will be held at 12noon Thursday, July 12, 2018 at St. James AME Church, 1501 N. Patterson Avenue W-S, NC with the Rev. Sheldon T. Miles officiating.  Interment will follow in Evergreen Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 11:00am until 12noon on Thursday at the Church. A repast for family and friends will follow interment at United Metropolitan Missionary Baptist Church, 450 Metropolitan Drive W-S, NC.
