Sandra Crawford Crews, fondly known as "Jean," was born June 12, 1949. She passed away peacefully on Sunday, March 30, 2025, at the age of 75. She was preceded in death by her loving mother, Doris Kinzer Harris; her father, James Crawford; and her beloved sister, Elrita "Elaine" Brockman.

Jean leaves behind a legacy of love and warmth, cherished by her sister, Sharon Crawford Graham; and her brothers, James (Jaime) Crawford and Russell (Brose) Harris. She was a devoted mother to seven children: Tracy Crawford, Charlotte Crawford, Arkbar Hurst (Jackie), Khadijah Hurst, Antillah Hurst (Vincent), Clarence Hurst, and Kevin Hurst (Tonya). Among her many grandchildren, she shared a special bond with her devoted grandson, Marquez Hurst, whom she loved as a son. She also leaves behind a host of grandchildren and great-grandchildren who will forever carry her love in their hearts.

Jean had a gift for making everyone feel welcome. Her home was always filled with laughter, love, and open arms, creating a warm and inviting space for all who entered. Her kindness, generosity, and unwavering love will be deeply missed but never forgotten.

Jean's love will continue to shine through the lives of those she cherished. May she rest in eternal peace.

A viewing will be held from 1:00pm until 5:00pm Friday, April 4, 2025 at Russell Funeral Home.

A service to honor and celebrate Jean's life will be held at 1:30pm Saturday, April 5, 2025 at the Russell Funeral Home Chapel. The family visitation will be held from 1:00pm until 1:30pm on Saturday at the Chapel. Family and friends are invited to gather and share memories of a woman who touched so many lives.
