Obituary
Sandra "San" Byers Lyons was called to heaven to be with the Lord on Wednesday afternoon, January 16, 2008. She was a life long resident of Winston-Salem, NC and a graduate of the Winston-Salem/Forsyth County Schools.
She was a member of New Unity Church.
Sandra was preceded in death by her loving husband, Bernard Lyons, Sr.; her mother, Ruth Elizabeth Byers; and her father, Thurmond Robinson.
She is survived by three daughters, Sherrye Byers, Terri Byers, and Maria Lyons; seven grandchildren, Ataszia Byers, Krisandra "Lil San" Byers, Domonique Byers, Terrell Jones, Jayme Byers, Nolledge Jones, and Reagan Byers; six step-children; one uncle, Earl Byers; a host of cousins; a special friend, Vincent Switzer; and other relatives and friends. She was loved greatly and will be missed by all, especially in her community.
Memorial services will be conducted at Noon Wednesday, January 23, 2008 from the Russell Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Paul Toms officiating.
The family wishes to extend a special thank you to the staff at the Kate B. Reynolds Hospice Home.
