Obituary
Samuel L. Morrison, 61, was born on July 6, 1953 in Forsyth County to Henry Morrison and Arletha Legrand.
Samuel departed this life on Tuesday, May 19, 2015 after a long battle with illness. Sam was loved by many in the community and his influence reaches all over the city. "Mr. Sam" will be sorely missed by all who knew him and enjoyed his hearty laugh.
He was preceded in death by his parents; several sisters; and one son, Juan "Big Mack" Thompson.
He survived by one son, Samuel (Bertha) Thompson; and a host of grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Memorial services will be held at 2:00pm Tuesday, May 26, 2015 at the Russell Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Larry Boyd officiating.
