To everything there is a Season and a time to every purpose under the heaven. A time to be born, and time to Die. A time to plant and a time to pluck up that which is planted.

On August 26, 2022, God called Samuel J. Hynes home. He was born in Darlington, South Carolina, June 8, 1934 to Chine & Gladys Hynes. He attended Atkins High School in Winston-Salem, NC. He worked for R.H. Barringer Company, he was known as the BUDWEISER MAN for (48) years before retirement.
He was of Baptist faith, belonging to Mars Hill Baptist church in his early years.
Life Dedication:
One of the first black Salesmen for R. H. Barringer (Budweiser) before he was called into eternal Peace.
He leaves to cherish in his memory, his Wife for over (60) years, Rosa Smith Hynes; two sons, Samuel (Barbara) Hynes, Sammie David Hynes; one daugther, Sherron Campbell; one sister, Lillie Mae Jones; one brother, Harold (Patricia) Hynes; one brother-in-law, Hessie Smith; six grandchildren, Michael (Derdia) Coleman, Dr. Gemekia (Darrin) Futrell, Ricky Coleman, Ronald (Jennae) Campbell, Jessica Hynes all of NC, and Samantha Hynes of Oakland CA; five great-grandchildren, Christian Parker, Chrissy Parker, Michael J. Coleman, lan Coleman all of NC, and Samoria Hynes of Oakland CA; very close friends of the family, Michael and Carseania Tribble and Michael and Sharon Coleman; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Precious Memories:
He was preceded in death by his parents, Chine and Gladys Hynes; his brothers R.J. Hynes and Clarence Hynes, also Aldean Hynes; and grandson, Joseph Hayes.
Service Information:
A viewing will be held from 1:00pm until 5:00pm Thursday, September 1, 2022 at Russell Funeral Home.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00pm Friday, September 2, 2022 at the Russell Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow in Parklawn Memorial Gardens. The family visitation will be held from 12:30pm until 1:00pm on Friday at the Chapel.
