Ms. Russilene McFadden, 69, passed away in Winston-Salem, NC on Tuesday, April 13, 2021. After completing her journey here with us, she answered the call of the Lord to return home. She was surrounded by her loving family and caregivers during the last days of her life.

Born on October 24, 1951 in Florence, SC, she lived in Lake City, SC, before settling in Winston-Salem, NC. She worked as a cook for a few years before dedicating a great majority of her life and the remainder of her working days as a CNA. Because of her fierce independence and refusal to live a life of less, she focused solely on work and being a mother.

Russilene is survived by three daughters, Sophia Belin, Melviria Vinson (Anthony), and Beverly Belin; two sons/nephews, Shawn Belin and Lucius Belin; seven grandchildren, Dacia Belin, Marquise Belin, Daynese Belin, Terrae Belin, Adam Belin, Earl Ladson, Jr., and Matthew Ladson; three great-grandchildren, Aneres Palmer, Dennis Palmer, Jr., and Tevin Littlejohn, Jr; three sisters, Naomi Clemmons, Rose Belin, and Christine Myers; two brothers, Tommy Brown and Joseph Eaddy; and a host of other family members and friends who will miss her dearly.

A viewing will be held from 1:00pm until 6:00pm Monday, April 19, 2021 at Russell Funeral Home. Private services will be held Tuesday, April 20, 2021.  Interment will follow in Oaklawn Memorial Gardens.
