Obituary
Russell Exavier Woody was born to the late Fletcher Miller and Elise Woody in Winston-Salem, NC in May of 1945.
He attended the local public schools and graduated from AH Anderson High School of W-S, NC. He also attended Winston-Salem State University, Halifax Community College, and was a graduate of Carolina Beauty College of W-S, NC.
He departed this life December 8, 2015.
He leaves to cherish his memories one daughter, Rosalyn Samuels of Winston-Salem, NC; two brothers, Harvey (Crissie) Barber and Fredrick (Dianne) Hollands both of Winston-Salem, NC; three sisters, Willie Mae Miller of Baltimore, MD, Caretha Miller, and Shelia Barber both of Winston-Salem, NC; grandson, Jarred Samuels of Winston-Salem, NC; loving and devoted friends, Valma S. Hackett, Barbara Burts, Carnella Lesaine, and Debra Bradshaw all of Winston-Salem, NC; and a host of relatives and many, many friends.
Memorial services will be held at 1:00pm Tuesday, December 15, 2015 at Macedonia Worship Center with Apostle SD Johnson officiating. The family visitation will be held from 12:30pm until 1:00pm on Tuesday at the Church.
