Rozlyn Smith, a beloved mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and friend, passed away peacefully on May 8, 2025. Born in Winston-Salem, North Carolina, she cherished her roots in the community. She graduated from St. Benedict Elementary School, then Atkins High School, and later attended Winston-Salem State University.
Rozlyn had a passion for helping others. She worked as an Information Operator at Bell South, connecting people with compassion. Later, she brightened the days of children at Bolton Elementary School as a lunch lady.

She leaves behind her sons, Damien Smith and Steven Cockerham; her grandchildren, Denise Roundtree, Kamilah Smith, Disani Crosby, Kai Cockerham, and ShaTerra Smith; her great grandchildren, Conner and Adonis Colone; and a legacy of love that will continue to inspire them for generations to come.
