Mr. Rossie David Shell, Jr. of 3038 Gilmer Ave passed away Tuesday, March 24, 2015 at his residence. Rossie, better known as "David", was born to Roberta S. Myers and the late Rossie D. Shell, Sr. on September 6, 1955. David served in the United States Army and afterwards he worked in the concrete and construction business for many years.

In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his grandparents; and his youngest brother, Reginald Shell.
He is survived by his loving mother, Roberta S. Myers; one son, Rossie Shell, II of Maryland; three brothers, Michael, Crawford, and Keith Shell; two sisters, Barbara Shell and Cynthia Haielg; three nephews, Damien (Janay) Shell, Chaelin Scales, and Shawn Wilson; three nieces, Alvinia (Chad) Scales, LaTosha (Shaun) Hillian, and Sariyah Hillian; nine aunts; one uncle; and many devoted friends.

Funeral services will be held at 3:00pm Saturday, March 28, 2015 at the Russell Funeral Home Chapel. The family visitation will be held from 2:30pm until 3:00pm on Saturday at the Chapel. Interment will be held at 10:00am Monday, March 30, 2015 in Salisbury National Cemetery, Salisbury, NC.
