Ms. Roslyn Burton Hauser was born December 17, 1951 in Winston-Salem, NC to Jessie M. Burton. She passed away peacefully on Sunday, August 2, 2009 at the Kate B. Reynolds Hospice Home after an extended period of illness.
Roslyn attended the Winston-Salem Forsyth County Public Schools and graduated from Anderson High School.
She was a member of Shiloh Baptist Church and served faithfully on the SBC Gospel Choir and Sheepfold Ministry.
Roslyn was an employee of the Winston-Salem Forsyth County Public School System for twenty-six years.
Roslyn was preceded in death by her mother; grandmother, Christina "Mama Chris" Burton; brothers, Preston Burton, Sr., and Keith Burton; an aunt and uncle, Mattie L. and Robert Brady; and a dear cousin, Constance Amaker.
Loving and precious memories will be cherished by a devoted sister, Kiawathia J. Burton; brothers, Pierre (Patricia) Burton, Reginald (Angela) Burton, Kenneth Burton, Kelvin (Cyrena) Burton, and Thomas Burton all of Winston-Salem, NC and Christopher Burton of Columbia, SC; an uncle, Roosevelt Hopkins; several nieces, nephews other relatives and many, many friends.
Funeral services will be held at 12Noon Thursday, August 6, 2009 from the Shiloh Baptist Church with Reverend Dr. Paul A. Lowe, Jr. officiating. Interment will follow in Piedmont Memorial Gardens. The family visitation will be held from 11am until Noon on Thursday at the Church.
