Rosetta Williams, known affectionately as "Teeny", was born on January 8, 1948 in Winston-Salem, North Carolina to the late Fred Hall and Sarah Steele.  Rosetta graduated from Atkins High School and thereafter entered the workforce.  She spent the majority of her professional career as a seamstress for Lucia and was able to retire from her role with Corning Cable after several years of exceptional service. She was a woman of strength who balanced the duties of being a loving wife with being a hardworking compassionate mother.  Additionally, Rosetta found fulfillment in serving her community and worked relentlessly with the Neighbors for Better Neighborhoods Initiative.

Rosetta grew up in the city of her birth and was surrounded by four siblings, Barbara Morris, Brenda Chisholm, Albert Steele (Denise) and Alisa Steele.

Our beloved Mother, Sister, Grandmother, Auntie, and Friend departed this life on Monday, August 19, 2024. She was preceded in death by her husband, Harvey Williams.

She leaves cherished memories with her children, Michael Chisholm, Venessa Williams, Stephanie McCullum (Aaron), and Phillip Williams, Sr. (Regina); five grandchildren, Brittany, Joseph, Jason, Nasir, and Phillip; and a host of other relatives and friends.

Memorial services will be held at 2:00pm Saturday, August 31, 2024 at the Russell Funeral Home Chapel. The family visitation will be held from 1:30pm until 2:00pm on Saturday at the Chapel.
