Rose Schooler Robinson , the second child of three from the union of Walter Schooler and Mattie Hill, was born January 18, 1928. At the age of 86, she peacefully slept away on Monday, April 21, 2014 at the KB Reynolds Hospice Home, Winston Salem, NC.
Rose was a retiree of R. J. Reynolds Tobacco Company. She was a faithful member of Morning Star Missionary Baptist Church where she served on the Missionary, Usher Board, Kitchen and Golden Ages ministries. She was an advocate for making sure that her grandchildren, nieces and nephews attended Sunday school and church with her on a regular basis so that they would know "WHO JESUS IS."
Rose was a lover of her flowers and you could always see her working in her flower garden. Her compassion and love for her family could be witnessed in the extraordinary ways that she went the extra mile for each of them in times of need.
In addition to her parents, Rose was preceded in death by her son, Richard Robinson, Sr.; sisters, Mary Louise Jones and Geraldine Mack; grandson, Richard Robinson Jr.; and two nieces, Carolyn Porter and Wanda Nichols.
Treasuring her memories and missing her presence will be her son, Curtis Robinson, Jr. of Oberhausen, Germany; daughter, Tommie Mae Davis of Maryland; devoted grandson, Trent Perry, Sr. and niece, Tammy Jones; grandchildren, Swenti and Safido; great-grandchildren, Trent, Jr. Teron, Jahquenia, Afi, Nala, Ammiel, and Yahyaina; devoted lifelong friend, Rosetta Harold; and a host of cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends.
Funeral services will be held at 1pm Saturday, April 26, 2014 at Morning Star Missionary Baptist Church with Rev. Dr. Dennis Leach, Sr. officiating. Interment will follow in Piedmont Memorial Gardens. The family visitation will be held from 12noon until 1pm on Saturday at the Church.
