Ms. Rosalind D. Bell departed this life to be with her heavenly father on Sunday June 6, 2010. Ms. Bell was born on February 8, 1964 at Seymour Johnson A.F.B. Goldsboro, NC to Rupert W. Bell Jr. and Darline P. Bell. She Graduated from Mt. Tabor High School. She attended The University of Chapel Hill and later transferred to North Carolina Central University in Durham, NC were she earned a BS degree in Business Administration and a Masters degree in Public Health Administration (MPA).
She lived briefly in Durham, NC where she was employed by the city of Durham, NC as a Director of Edgemont with the public housing department. She later returned to Winston-Salem, NC and was employed by several companies, Wachovia Bank & Trust, Winston-Salem Forsyth county School System, and she was a sole owner of her business "Simply Consulting".
In the community she was an active supporter of the Diabetes, Breast Cancer and the American Heart Association where she volunteered for many of the community sponsored awareness events. She enjoyed being a member of the Sassy Book Club.
She was a member of United Metropolitan Baptist Church where she participated on the gospel choir and was a former member of the young adult missionary group.
Ms. Bell was preceded in death by paternal grandparents, Rupert and Ruby Bell, Sr.; maternal grandparents, Willie and Bessie Smith of Baltimore, Maryland; a niece, Alycia Polzine; and an uncle, William P. Smith of Washington, DC.
She leaves to cherish her memories her mother, Darline P. Bell; her father, Rupert W. Bell Jr.; three sisters, Audrey Bell-Farrow (Leon), Teresa L. Martin (Douglas) of Winston-Salem, NC, and Karin A. Adames (Ramon) of Raleigh, NC ; four devoted nieces, Leah A. Farrow, Gwendolyn R. Farrow of Winston-Salem, NC, Mahje and Alexandra Adames of Raleigh, NC; two nephews, Anthony Polzine and James Farrow, III of Winston-Salem, NC; one great-nephew, Antwan Steele Jr.; four aunts, Frankie Neal (Earl) of Harbor City, California, Thelma Russell (James) of Indiana, Joan Bell of Little Elm, Texas, Regina Smith of Maryland; several cousins, Janice and Gregory Bell and Nicole (Marcus) of Little Elm, Texas, Alonzo and Tracy Bell of Winston-Salem, NC; and a host of family and friends although not named were an important part of her life.
Funeral services will be held at 12noon Friday, June 11, 2010 at United Metropolitan Missionary Baptist Church with Reverend Prince Raney Rivers officiating. Interment will follow in Evergreen Cemetery. The family visitation will be held from 11:30am until 12noon on Friday at the Church.
