(II Corinthians 5:8)Ms. Rosa Lee Johnson, "a beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, aunt, great-aunt, and friend" was born to Mr. Leroy, Sr. and Annie Benjamin-Johnson on October 23, 1951. She transitioned from this life to be with her Lord and Savior on Wednesday, October 6, 2010.
Her greatest passions were surrounding herself with family, friends, laughing, and joking.
Ms. Johnson attended Grace Outreach Ministries where her son pastored.
Rosa was preceded in death by her mother, Mrs. Annie B. Johnson; brother, Sam Johnson; sister, Mabel Johnson-Wright; niece, Latricia Johnson; nephew, Michael Johnson; and a very devoted friend, Mr. John L. Alford.
Rosa's memories will be lovingly cherished by her three surviving children, Pastor Anthony Ray Johnson (Tameka), James David Johnson, and Alicia Ann Johnson; her father, Mr. Leroy Johnson, Sr.; sister, Ms. Annie Johnson; five brothers, Robert (Catherine), Leroy, Jr., Joseph, Jerome, and Kenny; her grandchildren whom she adored, Antwonette, Bryan, Briana, Andriana, Christina, Yasmaine, Amaree', Fuquan, and Armin; two great-grandchildren, Angel and Jamyria; and a host of nieces, nephews, other family and friends.
Funeral services will be held at 12noon Wednesday, October 13, 2010 at Genesis Victory Outreach Center with Elder Sharon Pollard officiating. The family visitation will be held from 11am until 12noon on Wednesday at the Church.
