On March 24, 2008, Rosa Mae Fulwood departed this life to her heavenly home from Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center after an extended period of illness. Rosa was born in Salters, SC on September 2, 1958 to Willie James and Rosa Bell Fulwood. She was a 1976 graduate of Parkland High School.
Following graduation, Rosa accepted a position at Baptist Hospital as a unit secretary and was there until she relocated to Greenville, SC where she became employed by Index Journal News Paper.
Rosa remained with Index until she became ill in the spring of May 2006.She then decided to move back to NC to be with family. Not only did she return to be with family, but she also re-established her membership at Uncompromising Word Fellowship Church, and rededicated her life back to Jesus Christ. What a blessing!
Rosa was preceded in death by her parents.
She leaves to cherish her memories her daughter, Iesha Y. Corley (Todd); grandchildren, Deiondria, Izaiah, and Zaria; sisters, Sarah Fulwood Beasley and Carlatta Miller (Keith); brothers, Reverend James Fulwood (Hattie), Marvin, Earl and Robinson (Janice); a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and beloved friends, Sharie Alston to whom we are very grateful, and Linda Hardy.
Funeral services will be held at 2pm Saturday, March 29, 2008 from the Uncompromising Word Fellowship Church with Minister Malcom Lewis officiating and Pastor Bobbie A. Jones eulogist. The family visitation will be held from 1pm until 2pm on Saturday at the Church.
