Mr. Ronnie Leon Melton, 45 of 634 Ontario Street and most recently a resident of The Lutheran Home, departed this earthly life on Saturday, November 3, 2007 at the Wake Forest University/Baptist Medical Center.
He was born January 27, 1962 in Winston-Salem, NC to Matthew Lampkins and Vernette Johnson. He was a graduate of the Winston-Salem/ Forsyth County School System and a member of Pinedale Christian Church.
Ronnie's personality touched the hearts and lives of many people and will be greatly missed by all.
He leaves to cherish his memories his mother, Vernette Johnson; one devoted brother, Leonard "Darnell" (Amanda) Melton; one devoted sister, Karen (Warren) Brookins; two sisters, Vivian and Deborah Melton; one devoted aunt and guardian, Vivian (Roshell) Spears; three uncles; a special cousin, Cynthia Johnson; special friends, Gina & Mike Miller and family; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be held at 1pm Wednesday, November 7, 2007 from the Russell Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Bob McCaskill officiating. Interment will follow in Evergreen Cemetery. The family visitation will be held from 12:30pm until 1pm on Wednesday at the Chapel.
