Ronald Levell Pollard, Sr., son of Mamie and Elijah Pollard, was born on July 6, 1955 and he departed his life on November 1, 2023.

Mr. Ronald Pollard, Sr., also known as 'Birdman", was a resident of Winston-Salem, NC.  He attended West Forsyth High School and graduated in 1973.  After graduation he married his wife of 49 years and then enlisted in the US Army.  He served from 1974 until 1985.  Ronald worked at Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center as a physical & occupational therapist for a sum of 10 years.  While working at Baptist, he also attended Forsyth Technical Community College and completed the Nursing Assistant I program.

In addition to both his mother and father, he was preceded in death by his loving wife, Brenda Pollard; and siblings, Harold Pearson (Thelma), James Pollard, Robert Pollard, William Pollard (Mary), and Kenneth Pollard.

He leaves behind to mourn his three children, Donald Donnell Rinehart (Carla), Ronnetra Latrice Pollard of Charlotte, NC, and Ronald Levell Pollard, Jr.; brothers, Tony Pollard (Barbara) and Willard Harris (Tiny); grandchildren, Mia Donnangela Rinehart of Charlotte, Ambrose DeMarco Hampton of Indiana, Chosen Amaj Hyman, Amirah Noahja Nobles of Charlotte, Amylian Razzak-Pollard, Karim Razzak-Pollard, and Jaxyn Amos; sister-in-law, Sharon Pollard; and a host of nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.

Memorial services will be held at 2:00pm Saturday, November 18, 2023 at the Russell Funeral Home Chapel.
