Ronald DeNorris Ross transitioned into the loving arms of our Heavenly Father on Sunday, December 30, 2018 at the Kate B. Reynolds Hospice Home. He was happily received into the loving arms of his mother and father, Genora Duncan Ross and James Ross on October 31, 1950.

"Flip", as he was known by family and friends, was educated in the Winston-Salem, NC public school system. He severed in the United States Navy and was honorably discharged. Ronald's favorite pass time was watching old western movies on TV and his favorite football team was The San Francisco 49ers.

Under the guidance of his parents and grandparents he believed in the Mercy and Grace of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ and acknowledged God's Blessings openly.

Ronald has been united with his parents; grandparents, Maggie and James Duncan and Addie and James Ross; his aunt, Lou Ollie Wilson; and uncle, Charles Duncan; in his new home in Glory.

To love and cherish his memories forever are his two sons, DeNorris Hayes and Bernard Ross; seven grandchildren; six siblings, Billy Martin, Bernard , Connie , Denise, Reginald (Monica), and Malcolm Ross; eighteen nieces and nephews; a host of great-nieces and nephews; seven aunts and uncles, Alberta, James, David, John(Norma) Duncan, Daisy Foster, Mary Ann Hubbard, and Linda (Walter) Jackson; one great-uncle, Frank McCree; and a host of cousins and friends.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00am Friday, January 4, 2019 at the Russell Funeral Home Chapel.  Interment will follow in Evergreen Cemetery.  The family visitation will be held from 10:30am until 11:00am on Friday at the Chapel.
