Our beloved brother, father, grandfather, uncle, cousin, friend, Mr. Ronald Jacob Johnston, Sr., 65, affectionately known as "Ronnie," of St Peter's Heritage Place, transitioned from earth to eternity on Friday, April 20, 2012 at Kate B Reynolds Hospice and Palliative Care Center following a brief illness.

He was born to Rosetta Johnston and James Brewer on March 25, 1947 in Philadelphia, PA where he spent most of his adult life until relocating to Winston-Salem, N.C, January, 2009 due to serious health problems.

Next to God and his family was his love for St Peter's World Outreach Worship Center where he truly began and ended his Christian faith walk with the Lord Jesus Christ.

Mr. Johnston was preceded in death by his parents; two aunts, Christine Phillips and Elizabeth Yarbrough; and a loving cousin, Dorothy Brandon.

Surviving to cherish his precious memories are a loving and devoted sister, Priscilla J. Dixon of Kernersville, NC; four children, Harun Darius Dugan of Phila. PA, Elder Ronald Jacob Johnston, Jr. (Michelle) of Pine Hill, NJ, Veronica Faye Johnston of Hi Nella, NJ, and Chris Steven Brown of Clementon, NJ; their mother, Faye Stephanie Brown of New Jersey; eight grandchildren, Deanna and Harun, Jr. of Phila. PA, Jasmine, Jayda, Jayna, and Ronald of Pine Hill, NJ, Aaliyah and Veronica of Hi Nella, NJ; a devoted cousin, Donald Phillips; one great-grand, Aniyha of Phila. PA; a loving niece, Angela G. Brower of Walkertown, NC; a devoted nephew, Rev. Frederick L. Barnes, Jr. of Kernersville, NC; and a host of other nieces and nephews, other relatives, and many friends.

Funeral services will be held at 12noon Friday, April 27, 2012 at St. Peter's World Outreach Worship Center with Bishop J.C. Hash officiating. Interment will follow in Evergreen Cemetery. The family visitation will be held from 11am until 12noon on Friday at the Church.
The family will assemble and leave from the home of Rev. Frederick Barnes, Jr., 510 Martha Court Kernersville, NC 27284.
