Ronald A. Ferguson was born November 20, 1954 to the late Leo Peay and Hattie Holmon Ferguson. He entered into his eternal rest on Friday, February 12, 2016 at Wake Forest Baptist Health.
Ronald was known to his family and friends as "Ferg." He completed his high school education at North Forsyth in 1973 and after graduation he joined the US Army. After his military term he joined the National US Army Reserves. He was employed by Slate's Furniture and Krispy Kreme at Ivy Plant until his disability caused his retirement in 2005.
Ferg loved sports; his favorite was football and his beloved Pittsburgh Steelers. He often spoke of one day seeing his nieces, Temi run track and Jada play basketball. Now he will be watching from above.
Ronald's greatest joy was the birth of his son, Jose.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his brother, Leo, Jr. in June 2000.
Ronald leaves to cherish his memories his son, Jose; sisters, Eloise B. White of Maryland and Denise F. Johnson of the city; brother, Reginald J. Ferguson of the city; aunts, Alice Moore of Maryland and Mamie B. Ferguson of Glade, FL; nieces, Tisha and Temi Lyons of Maryland, Michelle and Jada Wilson of Virginia, and Tracie Conrad of the city; nephews, James, Kevin, and Jamal Johnson and Joey Conrad all of the city; and a host of other relatives and friends.
