Robert Lee "Pig" or "Mr. Rob" Miller, Sr. 69 passed away on Wednesday, November 3, 2010 at Forsyth Medical Center. He was born on March 3, 1941 to the late Clara Miller. He graduated from Atkins High School class of 1959. He retired from RJ Reynolds with 36 years of service. He was a loving and devoted father. Robert was a member of Phillips Chapel Missionary Baptist Church.
He was preceded in death by his mother; his wife, Marceline Miller; a daughter, Carlene McMahan; and a brother, Johnny L. Miller.
Left to cherish his precious memory are his daughters, Robin (Aaron) Miller-Jackson of the home and Crystal McMahan; three sons, Robert L. Miller, Jr., Marcus (Roslyn) Miller, and Amos McMahan of Winston-Salem, NC; four grandchildren including Marquis McMahan who he helped raise; seven great-grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and friends.
Homegoing services will be held at 1pm Thursday, November 11, 2010 at Phillips Chapel Missionary Baptist Church with Reverend Chad R. Armstrong officiating. Interment will follow in Evergreen Cemetery. The family visitation will be held from 12noon until 1pm on Thursday at the Church.
