Obituary

Mr. Robert Edward Prince, 65, of Golden Lamb Nursing Home, formerly of University Place Apts., went home to glory on Tuesday, March 6, 2007 at the Forsyth Medical Center after a courageous battle with cancer.

He was born on January 28, 1942 in Forsyth County, the son of Lenora Shoffner Prince Crosby and Reverend Julius B. Prince. Mr. Prince worked numerous years with the WSFC School System as a painter and later became a counselor.

Mr. Prince was a member of Mount Glory Missionary Baptist Church until his declining health.

In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by his grandmother, Julia J. Shoffner; a grandchild, Monique' Prince and a brother, Earl Prince.

Surviving are his children, Tracy Prince, Linda Price, Michelle Prince, devoted sons and daughters-in-law, Minister Robert Minor (Donna) and Julius "JUKIE" Minor (Staci) all of Winston-Salem, NC, Julie Simmons, Robert Simmons, B.J. Simmons and Lillie Simmons all of New York; 10 grandchildren; 2 great grandchildren; three sisters, Patricia P. Lipscomb of Winston-Salem, NC, Ophelia Falls of Landover, MD and Madgerine Milborne of Alexandria, VA; two brothers, Julius Prince of Washington, DC and Lee Prince of Temple Hills, MD; an only aunt, Audrianna "NEAT" Dansby of Pittsburgh, PA; a step mother, Ann Prince of Clinton, MD; a special cousin, Margie F. Brown of Winston-Salem, NC; two devoted nieces, Robin Samuels and Tonya Harvey of Winston-Salem, NC; his favorite great nephews, J-Mee Samuels and his side kick, Justin Harvey; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

Please join in the home going celebration on Saturday, March 10, 2007 at 11:00 AM from the Chapel of the Russell Funeral Home with Elder Kacie O. Moore officiating. Interment will follow in the Piedmont Memorial Gardens. The family visitation will be from 10:00 AM until 11:00 AM on Saturday at the Russell Funeral Home.
