Deacon Robert Lee Pollard, Sr., aka "Frog", transitioned from his earthly tabernacle to his eternal place of residence to be with his Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ on Tuesday, December 13, 2016. "Willing rather to be absent from the body, and to be present with the Lord."
Deacon Pollard was preceded in death by his parents, Elijah & Mamie; youngest son, Dareiss; two brothers, James, Jr. & Kenneth; and his maternal and paternal grandparents.
Deacon Pollard is survived by his wife of 43 years, Elder Sharon; daughter, Lady Tameka Johnson; son, Minister Robert, Jr.; ten grandchildren, B.K., Antwanette, Jazzmein, Ameka, Christian, Briana, DeRae', Tiana, Amaree, & Ashia; two extended granddaughters, Azariah & Aryana; four great-grandchildren, Angel, JaMyria, Kristian, and & Kenard; daughter-in-law, Ashlyn; four brothers, Deacon Harold Pearson, Deacon William Pollard, Ronald Pollard, & Minister Tony Pollard; and a host of other relatives and friends.
Homegoing services for Deacon Pollard will be held at 1:00pm Tuesday, December 20, 2016 at Genesis Victory Outreach Center with Dr. James C. Hash, Sr. of SPWOC officiating. Interment will follow in Evergreen Cemetery. The family visitation will be held from 12noon until 1:00pm on Tuesday at the Church.
