Robert L. "Timmy" Moore, 70 departed this life on Tuesday, January 12, 2010. Tim was one of seven children blessed to the union of Eula Moore Matthews and Cornell Moore. He was a product of the Winston-Salem/Forsyth County public schools, having entered the world of work while still a student at Atkins High School.
He was an avid CB radio enthusiast, and served on the Board of Ushers at Mount Zion Baptist Church. An accomplished athlete in his youth, he was a member of the Pond Giants semi-professional baseball team for several years.
He was a long time employee of Wesley Business Forms, and completed his work like as an employee of the Dietary Department at Wake Forest University/Baptist Medical Center. Earlier, he worked for R.J. Reynolds Tobacco Company.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and two sisters, Yvonne Moore and Carolyn Milton.
Surviving his passing are his loving wife, Shirley; four children, Antoinette Britton, Cindy (Cornell) Walker, Linda Kimbrough, and Robert (Angela) Moore, Jr.; two sisters, Loleane (Bob) Williams and Shirley Blackburn; two brothers, Colonel (Ret.) Bobby (Geraldine) Moore and Bernard (Lin) Moore; 13 grandchildren; 16 nieces, 10 nephews, and numerous extended family members and friends.
Memorial services will be held at 1pm Saturday, January 16, 2010 at Mt. Zion Baptist Church. The family visitation will be held from 12:30pm until 1pm on Saturday at the Church.
