Mr. Robert Mitchell was born to Hebert and Marie Mitchell in Rural Hall, NC on April 5, 1937. He went home to be with the Lord on February 3, 2015 at Forsyth Medical Center.

He was a member of Union Baptist Church, served in the US Army, and worked at Sear's Warehouse. He was a truck driver for 35 years. Robert, aka "Love Doctor", loved to take trips in which he would "always get us lost!"

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Margaret Mitchell of 55 years; two brothers, Arvin Mitchell and Hebert Mitchell, Jr.; sister, Rebecca Mitchell; brother-in-law, Edward Brown; and his sister-in-law, Helen Ceaser.

He leaves to cherish his precious memories his 7 daughters, Princella Thomas, Ursula (Mike) Love, Yolanda Neely, Shannon (Chuck) Mitchell, Quriston (Cedric) Archie, Minister Mary Pruitt, and Doris Boykin; son, David (Kia) Boykins; 28 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; one brother, Daniel Mitchell; a devoted niece, Sharon Myers; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be held at 11am Wednesday, February 11, 2015 at Union Baptist Church with Rev. Dr. Sir Walter Mack, Jr. officiating. Interment will follow in Salisbury National Cemetery, Salisbury, NC. The family visitation will be held from 10:30am until 11am on Wednesday at the Church.
