Mr. Robert "Bobby" Lonnell Giles passed away peacefully on July 11, 2018.  He was born to the late John Wesley "Charlie" Jiles and Ethel Miller Jiles in 1930 and was a life-long resident of Winston Salem, NC.

Mr. Giles was a U.S. Army veteran.  He graduated from Carver High School and continued his education at Winston Salem State University.  Mr. Giles retired from RJ Reynolds Tobacco Co. and was a member of Mars Hill Baptist Church.

He was preceded in death by his loving wife, Betty Irene Hauser Giles.

He is survived by his children, Carolyn and Senneca both of W-S, NC, Robin and Bobby (Marilyn) both of Charlotte, NC; 8 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren; twin brother, Willie Lorenzo Giles; sister, Elizabeth (Henry) Hairston; and a host of other relatives and friends.

The family will celebrate a life well-lived at 3:00pm Saturday, July 21, 2018 at Mars Hill Baptist Church, W-S, NC.  Interment will follow in Center Grove AME Zion Church, Tobaccoville, NC.  The family visitation will be held from 2:30pm until 3:00pm on Saturday at the Church.
