Mr. Robert Duckett was born on August 12, 1934 in Lauren, SC to Bessie Ham and John Duckett.  Summoned by the voice of the Lord and escorted by an entourage of angels, Mr. Robert Duckett, Sr. made his transition to his heavenly home on March 3, 2018.

Mr. Duckett moved to Winston-Salem at an early age.  He served in the US Army and retired from Piedmont Aviation 44 years of service.  After retirement, he was employed with Mock Tire Co. for several years.

Mr. Duckett enjoyed the outdoors, fishing, hunting, bird watching and riding his Harley.  He was a member of the CC Riders back in the day.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Etheleen P. Duckett; son, Rudy; brother, James Duckett; and sister, Cora Blakley.

He leaves behind to celebrate loving memories, devoted children, Etheleen L., Dorothy, Jackie and Robert, Jr.; four grandchildren and three great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00pm Thursday, March 8, 2018 at the Russell Funeral Home Chapel. The family visitation will be held from 12:30pm until 1:00pm on Thursday at the Chapel. Interment will follow at Parklawn Memorial Park.
