Mr. Robert Lee Cole, Jr., known as "Pepi Lee," passed away on September 11, 2010 at Carolinas Medical Center North East Concord.
He was a native of Winston-Salem, NC and lived in Charlotte for most of his adult life.
He attended Calvary Christian Church in Charlotte, NC.
He graduated from Atkins High School and continued his education at Winston-Salem State University and became a Groove Phi Groove.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Eva Cole; and sisters, Robin V. Moore and Linda C. Blake.
Survivors include his daughter, Tiera Cole; granddaughter, Taylor Slaughter; sisters, Ramona (William) Littlejohn of Winston-Salem, NC and Carolyn (Dillard) Rowe of Washington, DC; brother, Zackery Hairston; brothers-in-law, Elder Kacie Moore and Pastor Roy Blake; a devoted friend and loving friend David Smith of Charlotte, NC; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00am Thursday, September 16, 2010 at the Russell Funeral Home Chapel with Elder Kacie Moore officiating. Interment will follow in Evergreen Cemetery. The family visitation will be held from 10:30am until 11:00am on Thursday at the Chapel.
The family will meet at 3955 Burnham Circle, Winston-Salem, NC 27105.
