Robert L Barrett, 58, departed this life Tuesday June 2, 2020 .

He was the son of Truelove Johnson formerly of W-S, NC and Henry Saulters of Granite Quarry, NC.

He retired from the City of W-S after more than 20 years of service.  Robert was a dedicated member of First Waughtown Baptist Church.

In addition to his mother, Truelove Johnson , he was preceded in death by his aunt, Lizzie B Alexander; uncles, Amos Barrett and William Alexander; and cousins, William Alexander, Jr. and Raymond Barrett.

Those left to cherish loving memories are his brother, Jeremiah Johnson of W-S, NC; sisters, Elizabeth Ann Saulters and Jennifer Saulters Hall of Columbia, SC; adoptive daughter, Jade Johnson of W-S, NC; his father, Henry Saulters of Granite Quarry, NC; favorite nieces, Lizzie Logan and Carmeka Alexander; nephews, John Logan and Marcus Alexander; cousins, Carolyn Logan and Diane Alexander all of NC; a devoted best friend, Kerry Wade; and a host of other relatives and friends .

A viewing will be held from 12noon until 5:00pm Wednesday, June 10, 2020 at Russell Funeral Home. Private services will be held Thursday, June 11, 2020.  Interment will follow in Oaklawn Memorial Gardens.
