Robbin Joe Kirkland, age 65, passed away at home on Saturday, September 15, 2012 in Ohio. He was born on August 29, 1947 to the late Robert and Mildred (Joyner) Kirkland in Winston Salem, NC.

Robbin grew up in Winston Salem where he graduated from Paisley High School. He then attended Winston Salem State College graduating with his BA then went on to Southern Illinois University with his Master's degree. He then continued to receive his PH.D from The Ohio State University. Robbin was the Assistant Director of Facility Development/Assistant Prof of Family Medicine at Ohio University. He retired after 25 years with Chase Bank as part of their Fraud/Disputes Dept. Robbin was a member of the Vineyard Church of Westerville, an avid golfer, and he enjoyed reading westerns and spending time with this family.

He was preceded in death by his parents and siblings, Frankie Kirkland and Kim Smith.

Robbin is survived by his daughters, Ashley A. (Adam Stephens) Kirkland and Erica Kirkland; brother, Bobbie "Skeeter" Kirkland; and sister, Tammy Kirkland; other relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be held at 5pm Friday, September 21, 2012 at Schoedinger North Chapel, 5554 Karl Road Columbus, OH. The family visitation will be held from 3pm until 5pm on Friday at the funeral Home.

A family visitation will be held at 11am Monday, September 24, 2012 at the Russell Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow in Evergreen Cemetery.
