Mr. Rickie V. Blair, 53, of 1217 East 13 ½ St., Winston-Salem, NC was born in Forsyth County September 24, 1953. He passed away Wednesday, January 17, 2007 at his residence.

He graduated from East Forsyth High School. He was employed by Douglas Battery for approximately 20 years. Rickie joined Greater Emmanuel WOFCC, Inc., in 2004. A fully committed man of God, exemplary husband, devoted friend, and "master gardener."

Rickie V. Blair leaves to cherish many loving memories to his wife, Mrs. Patricia Blair; children, Richard and Lisa Leonard, Terae and Troy Smith; his brothers and sisters, Booker T. Blair (Alline), Theodore F. Blair, Annestine Reeves (William), Thornton L. Blair (Mary), Aldine Blair (Pam), Darren Blair (Gail), Mildred B. Powell all of Winston-Salem, NC, Sharon Lindsay (Larry) of Lexington, NC, Pastor Delores B. Taylor (Thaxton) of Walkertown, NC; mother-in-law, Evelyn Legette; sisters-in-law, Delores, Brenda, Terri, and Cynthia Legette; brothers-in-law, David, Aaron, Andre, and Ronald Legette all of Bristol, Pa.; and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be held at 1 pm Thursday, January 25, 2007 at Greater Emmanuel WOFCC, Inc., 4150 Mecum Rd., Walkertown, NC 27051, with Pastor Delores Taylor officiating. Interment will follow in Evergreen Cemetery. Family visitation will be held from 12:30 pm until 1 pm Thursday at the church.
