Richard Lee Jenkins, III, aka "Rich" was born May 14, 1965 to Hazel Heidi Williams Brown and Richard Lee Jenkins, Jr. in New Rochelle, NY. He departed this life into his eternal life on June 16, 2016.

After high school he attended Morgan State University and after two years of college he attended culinary school and became a certified chef upon completion. Richard gave his life to Christ while attending Mt. Olive Baptist Church in W-S, NC where he served as an usher as well as a member of the spiritual dance team.

Richard is survived by his mother, Hazel Brown; stepfather, Robert Brown; daughters, Mia Burrell and Tamia Stevens; sons, Richard Lee Jenkins, IV and Eric Jenkins; two grandchildren, Chase and Courtney Burrell; brother, Rexx Roosevelt Jenkins; sister, Denis Annette Jenkins; sister-in-law, Jacqueline Jenkins; aunts, Evelyn Williams, Misty Williams Pearson, and Delilia Williams Rashad; uncles, Fradzell Williams, Wydell Williams, and Melvin Williams; his devoted fiance', Gaye Stevens; and a host of family members and friends.

Funeral services will be held at 11:30am Thursday, June 23, 2016 at Mt. Olive Baptist Church with Rev. Dr. CE Gray officiating. Interment will follow in Evergreen Cemetery. The family visitation will be held from 11:00am until 11:30am on Thursday at the Church.
