Mr. Richard L. "Dickcy" Marshall of Bluefield, WV passed away at Wake Forest University Baptist Medical Center, Winston-Salem, NC on November 13, 2008. Richard had been living in Winston-Salem for the past two and one half years. He was the son of Louise Cheatem and stepson of Elijah Cheatem both of whom preceded him in death.

He is survived by five children, Sabra Baker of Winston-Salem, NC, Anita Marshall-Jefferies of New Orleans, LA, Serita Marshall of Columbus, OH, Ricky Marshall of West Jordan, UT, Mark English of North Carolina; two granddaughters and one grandson; two aunts, Glenda Linthicum of Washington, DC and Francis Wade of District Heights, MD; and a host of other relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be held at 11 am Thursday, November 20, 2008 at the Russell Funeral Home Chapel, Winston-Salem, NC. Interment will be held privately on November 21, 2008. Family visitation will be held from 10 am until 11 am Thursday at the funeral home.
