Reverend William S. Fails, a native of Oklahoma City and long-term resident of Winston-Salem, NC and High Point, NC passed on Sunday, June 28, 2009 at High Point Regional Hospital. Reverend Fails pastured Hanes CME Church and First United Baptist Church in the triad. He was the recipient of many awards including being inducted into the Board of Preachers at Morehouse College. He also worked with the High Point and Winston-Salem Gang and Violence Reduction Strategy Program under Attorney General Janet Reno and Walter Holden.
Left to cherish his memories are his wife, Janese of the home; two sons, Herston of Kansas City, MO and Stephen a student at NCA&T State University; one daughter, Afreecah a senior in high school; and a host of other relative and friends.
Funeral services will be held at Noon Thursday, July 2, 2009 from the Emmanuel Baptist Church with Reverend Dr John Mendez officiating. Interment will be held at a later date in Spencer, OK. The family visitation will be held from 11am until Noon on Thursday at the Church.
