Renita D. Fields was born to Ms. Adlener Davis in Winston-Salem, NC.  She departed this earthly life on March 27, 2017.  She was a 1975 graduate of East Forsyth High School where she went on to attend North Carolina A&T State University, Greensboro, NC and from there she went on to Forsyth Technical Institute majoring in Internal Medicine with a degree in Nursing.  She was a member of Exodus United Baptist Church where she served as an Usher, Missionary Secretary, Chairperson of the Hospitality Committee, and an advisor on the Planning Board.

Renita was also the co-owner and operator of Got-A lot Boutique, a volunteer Nurse for drug screening of First & Now Transitional, Inc., and Past Chairperson of Nurses of America.

She was preceded in death by her mother; and siblings, Claudette (Ed) Benson and Kenneth Davis.

Renita leaves to cherish her memories her husband of more than 35 years, Deacon George Fields; step-children, Toney, Tenisha, Derrick, D'Won, Terry (Wanda), and DeQuincy (Russchel); brothers and sisters, Nathaniel "Bro" Davis, Gwendolyn Fleming, and Veronica Davis all of the city, Patricia Anderson of Greensboro, NC, and Gezelle Steurald of Virginia Beach, VA; in-laws, Denise, Hennietta, Herrell (Velma), Ronald (Kim) Fields, Jacquelyn McClinton, and Debbie (Charles) McCellan; along with a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00pm Saturday, April 1, 2017 at Emmanuel Baptist Church. Interment will follow in Piedmont Memorial Gardens.  The family visitation will be held from 12:00noon until 1:00pm on Saturday at the Church.
