Obituary
Ms. Renee Calloway, passed away April 7, 2009 at the Wake Forest University/Baptist Medical Center.
She was born February 2, 1938 in Rye, New York to Robert and Thelma Johnston. She attended the local public schools in New York and was a graduate of Rye High School, Forsyth Technical Community College, and the University of Berkeley, CA where she received a Bachelor of Science degree.
She was formerly employed by LIFT Academy and Kimberly Quality Care and retired from Wake Forest University/ Bowman Gray School of Medicine.
Ms. Calloway was a member of Green Street United Methodist Church where she participated in different auxiliaries.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her grandparents, Joseph and Rosa Rose; and one son, Mark Campbell,
Left to cherish her memories are her daughter, Shauna Calloway; four sons, Harry (Hidemi) Campbell, Avery Campbell, Joseph Campbell, and Michael (Sainairia) Campbell; one step-daughter, Magdalene Watts; a host of grandchildren; one sister, Kathleen Olivia Chin; two aunts, Rosa Mae Wallace and Dorothy Adams; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be held at 1pm Wednesday, April 15, 2009 from the Green Street United Methodist Church with Pastor Kelly Carpenter officiating. The family visitation will be held from 12Noon until 1pm on Wednesday at the Church.
