The legacy of Reginald Douglas Muse began June 12, 1942, with Eleanor Muse Wilson and James Wilson, in Hightstown, New Jersey.  Reginald matriculated through the Hightstown school system. Upon graduation, he served as a sergeant in the US Army for many years, traveling around the world. Upon completion of his military service, he attended the American University in Washington, D.C. He also attended a trade school where he served as an apprentice for Tools and Dye, becoming a full journeyman, classified as an Engineer. Reginald was later employed with Johnson and Johnson products for more than 30 years.

Reginald spent the latter part of his life enjoying retirement, traveling, and spending time with his family. Muse established residency in Kernersville, NC, where he became a vintage connoisseur of antiques, auctioneer, and established a flea market. Reginald was also known for his handyman capabilities. He served as a member of First Baptist Church in East Winston.

Reginald was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Roger Kelly Muse. Survived to cherish his precious memories are: Arthimese Wooldridge Muse, his wife of 56 years; daughter, Arnisha Jones (Lonnie); sons, Akil Muse, Layton Parrish (Joie), and Naeem Muse (Althia) and Sumai Sababu; siblings: Ernestine Jenkins, Janice Justice, and Cheryl Wilson, all from New Jersey, and additionally he leaves several grandchildren, cousins, nieces, nephews, and special friends.

Funeral services will be held at 12:00noon Wednesday, October 19, 2022 at First Baptist Church, Highland Avenue. The family visitation will be held from 11:30 am until 12:00noon on Wednesday at the Church.
