Reginald A. McCauley Sr., 77, of Winston-Salem, North Carolina passed away February 19, 2019.

He was born on December 26, 1941 in Washington, DC to Geraldine Brown and Alvin McCauley. He served in the U.S. Army and was stationed in Fort Benning, GA. In his earlier years, he worked as a Social Worker in the Winston-Salem Department of Social Services and later changed careers to work as a police officer with the Winston-Salem Police Department.

He was an avid golfer, bowler and bridge player winning multiple awards in various bridge and bowling tournaments.

He is survived by his daughter, Andrea M. Weatherhead (Peterjon); son, Reginald A. McCauley Jr. (Adrianne); and three grandchildren, Justin, Savannah, and Taylor McCauley.

Mr. McCauley will lie in repose Thursday, February 28, 2019 and Friday morning, March 1, 2019 at Russell Funeral Home Chapel where friends may pay their respects. Private burial will follow at Salisbury National Cemetery.
